This spring 2018 is marked by the beginning of the construction of our new winery for the red wines of the property.

From the 2019 harvest, this new tool will allow Valérie Vialard and her team to make more precise vinification thanks to smaller vats. We will be able to work at the level of each plot.

Another major specificity of this new vat, gravity will allow us to preserve the quality of the grapes harvested. Thus they will be deposited just after the sorting in the new vats via small cuvons. The wine under development will then be gravitated naturally down to the new aging cellar – buried – located under the new vat room.

We look forward to seeing you from June 2019 to visit this new winery which marks a new era for our property and which should enable us to further improve the quality of the Château Latour-Martillac red wines.
